Whitwell, Festival Of Music

Described by the Derbyshire Times as ‘Derbyshire’s best kept secret’, Whitwell Festival of Music is a community event in a village setting, now in its 10th year, getting bigger and better every time. Run by a small team of volunteers – Whitwell 4Ward – the festival has raised thousands of pounds for local causes. Featuring a wealth of musical and artistic talent across all genres – around 30 bands and artists over the weekend – the festival also offers a range of locally brewed real ales, ciders, value-for-money food, arts and music workshops and children’s activities.

Camping is available on two sites within the village, but alternatively, for a more luxurious experience, there is plenty of B&B accommodation within a 5 mile radius of the festival ranging from Travelodge and Ibis, to Best Western and other 4-star hotels nearby.
